There is an intense minerality and the classic toasted hazelnut note that you find in great Burgundy with age. I’ve had the wine many times with 15 years age and it is transcendent. Yellow apple, hazelnut, lime zest and minerality with a very long finish. $492 /12 ($41/bottle) 2021 Pinot Noir, Fiona Hill Vineyard—$46 whsl The entry level "cru" Pinot Noir, Fiona Hill consistently delivers the flavor profile of Porter Creek, with red fruit that’s “just ripe,” spice, layers of complexity and a long, savory, lifted finish.
